Installing

This section contains information about installing software. You should read it before downloading anything.

Although all of my products developed especially for BE-300 (Pocket Manager), it will most likely work on all PPCs. Remember, try demo, if it is availible, first. Read below for details.

The main distinction of my software is that all of it is written with PocketC. This means that it doesn't have any executables, just an 'app' file. In order to run it, you must install appropriate for your PPC runtime module for PocketC (PCShell). You can find all of availible modules at www.orbworks.com (or here), also you can find PCShell for Pocket Manager in download section of this site. Remember it is absolutely free. Also, if you use Top Menu without any additions, you will need 1.4 patch for it.

Neither our programs, nor the runtime module don't have installers, so you will have to copy files manually. 

Here's how to install software (on BE-300):

1. Download a demo or buy a full version of program.

2. Download PocketC runtime module from download section. You only need one copy of it installed on your Pocket Manager to be able to run all applications written with PocketC.

3. Copy 'pcshell.exe' anywhere on your Pocket Manager except root directory. If you have a Compact Flesh card, copy 'pcshell.exe' to '\storage card\program files\PCShell\', in this case it will be availible in Top Menu.

4. Copy all files of program you want to install in a single folder on Pocket Manager.

5. Now you will need to run PCShell. Once is is done, you will see a list of applications on your Pocket Manager. Double click needed one and it will be launched. Also, some file managers will allow you to launch apps without PCShell (will need it installed anyway).

Although it may seem a bit difficult, you shouldn't have any problems installing software. In case if you do, mail to [email protected] and explain your problem. I will reply as soon as possible, no longer than a week I think.
